Meet The Team
Our law firm Legal Maritime Group was founded by Emeritus Superior Maritime National Judges Francisco Villarroel, who earned a DESS in maritime law from the University of Aix-en-Provence and a Master of Laws in maritime law from the IMLI Maritime Law Institute in Malta, and Freddy Belisario Capella †, with a Master of Laws in Admiralty Law, Universidad de Tulane, New Orleans, Louisiana, USA. Both Emeritus Professors and Doctors (hc) from the Caribbean Maritime University, Past Presidents of the Venezuelan Maritime Law Association and Titulary Members of the Comité Maritime International.
Also part of our team are the renowned lawyers Anna Karina Leiva, with a Master of Laws in maritime law from the Caribbean Maritime University and marine insurance studies in London, Milko Siafakas Zurita, with specialized knowledge in civil procedure and 35 years of experience as a litigator, Álvaro Cardenas, with a Master of Laws in maritime law from the Caribbean Maritime University, and Ricardo Vargas, with extensive experience, and a Master in civil and commercial litigation.
